PLAYING
CONDITIONS
Teams are to consist
of three players (boys, girls or mixed). A team may be selected from a
squad but where a school has more than one team, players may only play
for one team & not be interchanged.
Format shall be two bowl triples for a time limit of one hour. The end
being played at the one-hour point shall be completed. If at this stage
the match is drawn, that shall be the final score.
Games will be scored as 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 point for
a loss by 3 or less. Club co-ordinators of the club where the games are
played are responsible for advising Trevor McComish of the results within
one day of the game.
Games defaulted will count as a win for the non-defaulting team.
TIMINGS
Games will usually
commence at 4:30pm on the designated day. Games may commence as early
as 4:00pm or as late as 5:00pm provided both teams agree and the Bowling
Club hosting that round is able to accommodate the changed timing.
Teams are able to play a round on another day provided both teams agree
and the Bowling Club is available. If agreement cannot be achieved the
status quo shall apply or the team requesting the changed timing must
default. If an alternate date is agreed, the club co-ordinators of the
teams are responsible for arranging a suitable venue.
DRESS & EQUIPMENT
Players must wear
some form of appropriate uniform school sports top/tracksuit bottom
or equivalent. It is not acceptable to wear school day uniform.
Players must wear flat-soled shoes with that will not damage the greens.
Trainers will be generally acceptable.
Players are responsible for providing their own bowls. Club co-ordinators
will generally be able to arrange the loan of club bowls.
The Club co-ordinator of the club hosting the round is responsible for
arranging club provided equipment (mats, jacks and score boards) and for
a suitable timekeeping system.
CANCELLATIONS & DEFAULTS
In the case of cancellation,
the host club should advise College Sport (Tel 939 1102) by 12 noon of
any green closure College Sport will then advise schools.
In the case of defaults, the defaulting school should contact the opposing
