The 6-week DSP Indoor Football competition wrapped up in style, showcasing top-notch skills, sportsmanship, and inclusivity. With 15 teams participating, the event proved to be a fantastic platform for students to compete, learn, and most importantly, have fun.

One of the standout features of this year's competition was the Explorative Play Session, designed to make the sport accessible to players of all abilities. This initiative ensured everyone had the chance to take part and experience the joy of sport and meeting new friends.

But the action didn't stop there! The Adaptive Play Final saw a thrilling match between Onslow College and Wellington East Girls College, with Onslow securing a 5-2 victory. The intensity and heart shown by both teams was incredible, highlighting the spirit of the competition.

Meanwhile, the Competitive Final delivered a classic showdown between Hutt Valley High School and the Wainuiomata Nuggets. In a fast-paced, action-packed game, Hutt Valley emerged victorious with a 5-3 win.

Throughout the competition, players exhibited exceptional skills, camaraderie, and fair play. Whether it was the intensity of the finals or the friendly rivalry in the round robin games, sportsmanship was at the heart of every game.

Special thanks go out to the Upper Hutt students, who volunteered their time to referee, making the event run smoothly and demonstrating their commitment to the school and the community. A huge shoutout also goes to the Hutt Indoor Sports staff, whose continued support and excellent facilities helped make this event a resounding success.

As the competition drew to a close, it's clear that DSP Indoor Football is much more than just a series of games—it's about inclusion, growth, and making sports accessible to all.
